How Did I Get The Digital Literacy

I got introduced to Computer at 1997, when i was a Senior High School student. As a teenager, we are in the phase of self finding, and we though that being a Computer expert will be a cool thing. We were trying to cover our Floppy Disk with the plastic cover, because we were afraid, it would fall down, and some virus would attack it.
We got introduced to Word Star, we were practicing the Autoexec, copy, type and other DOS command. At 1999 i got introduced to Internet, when one Mall in our City was opening a Internet Cafe. The price was still high during that time, around 20.000 IDR per hour. We are using MIRC chatting application, and Altavista (old search engine pre-Google era).
Year 2000, i was a College student, in a rather big City, the City of Student. The price of Internet Cafe is lower around 5000 IDR per hour. It was the Era of Yahoo Messenger, Yahoo Search Engine, and Yahoo's Email.
Year 2002, I purchased my own PC, the Pentium 3 667 Mhz, 7.5GB of Hard Disk, and it was using Windows 98. I learned my first programming languange: Turbo Pascal. It was taught at University. They i learned a HTML from ebook titled "SAM Teach You html in 24 hours". I bought the Javascript book, to make a dynamic and interactive website. I enrolled in a Course for Delphi Desktop Programming.
Bookstore in front of our campus was selling newspaper or magazine about Linux, some students talked about this Free Open Source Operating System. I borrowed 5 CD's of Redhat, and i struggled to install it using my CD ROM player.
Later on around 2003, i became a Pascal Trainer at my Faculty. So i started teaching about algorithm, and how to calculate using procedural language. I went to ITB, one of the Famous University attending the workshop and seminar about IT to enrich my knowledge about this digital technology.
To finish my Bachelor, i need to make a Final Work, so i made a implementation of Network Monitoring System using Java Programming language. I attended a workshop about Java before this.
Graduated from Electrical Engineer majoring in Telecommunication, i applied to Huawei, and i got interviewed, and one of the interviewer question is "how to set ip address using linux command", and i felt that my investment learning the "hard/difficult OS" is a great decision. As a Intelligent Network Engineer, i need to master the skill of Unix, SQL and Informix Database.
In my second company, i got to use Ethereal or Wireshark to analyze the traffic between 2 nodes. I got introduced to some tool like exam diff, text editor like ultraedit, and using Putty to login to remote Solaris server. The trouble ticket tool, we are using CTS (Call Tracking System), for communication to the Back End, i got introduced to the Skype. During this time around 2010, i bought Blackberry, and i attended RIM Developer Day, and try to program it using Eclipse.
Moved to 3rd company, we were using Pidgin to communicate internally. In my 4th company i got introduced to Riverbed to optimize the WAN and also New Operating System FreeBSD which used for hosting the Postgresql 9. Squid was widely used at this company, so i manage the filtering and caching using this software. Since this company have many network segment, so we were also using PC router. I managed the Blue Coat as the router, and some Cisco switches. Managing the Wyse Thin client.
During my role as enterpreneur, i got introduced to Android Tablet. Bought and selling it. Also trying to program it using Eclipse. I invoiced my client using OpenERP (later will be transformed to Odoo)
Year 2013, Entering an Oil and Gas company, i got familiar with BMC Remedy as the trouble ticket management, change management and CMDB as asset management. I managed around 50 workstations using RHEL. I managed the NetApp as the NAS, and EMC as the SAN. I saw many Fiber Cables, then 10Gig Ethernet Device and Robotic which can backup data to the LTO tapes. This is the era of virtualization, we saw many Windows hosted by VMWARE, and many HP Blade servers. The RHEL is using the KVM as the virtualization, and also we have zone in Solaris x86. SAP is widely used as the core app. Symantec Cluster is to maintain the SAP so it can fail-over to the second node.

Year 2016, i started to code using Python Tkinter, and teach RHEL 7 and middleware JBOSS EAP7. In 2018, i had chance to implement Odoo the ERP, and manage the Opentext Documentum, and Oracle Database RAC. I also met the Oracle Weblogic, which is also middleware as well as JBOSS EAP 7, and i met the Apache Tomcat, the Open Source Middleware.Year 2016, i started to code using Python Tkinter, and teach RHEL 7 and middleware JBOSS EAP7.
