Data center deployment

In the mid of 2005, i entered the data center for the first time. First time impression, it is a high tech building with many racks inside.

I imagine how is the process of the data center deployment. I made a self conclusion, there is some points when we need to design a data center deployment.

1. The building need to have solution for flood disaster,
since the server and electricity  is very sensitive to water. I saw many datacenter was located at the basement, and i prefer to have it on the 2nd floor or 3rd floor or above.

2. It need to have a raised floor.
Under the raised floor, we can place the power cable, data cable and also the air flow of Air Conditioner.

3. Cable duct
 Cable power can be stored in cable duct to place it safely.

4. Racks
 We mount the servers into this rack with door

5. Patch Panel
 For fiber optic cables and LAN cables can be connected using this Patch Panel.
